I am a proud Kaurna/Narungga man working as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner at Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia. I specialise in Cardiothoracic/Cardiology health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. My career started after completing my cert III in Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander Primary health care, through the Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA). I then went on to complete my cert IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) with Batchelor institute in the Northern territory.
I Am passionate about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. I have a particular interest in working with patients who have RHD and cardiovascular disease. I also hold a position on the Cardiac Surgery Subcommittee for the South Australian Cardiology Clinical Network. Through this committee, we aim to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health in this area.
